APCP
This programme was introduced in 2005 to facilitate the conversion of members in the grades of Graduate and Affiliate to the professional grade of Associate.
However, since Graduate and Affiliate members are often persons with limited experience in HR practice. This programme will equip them with knowledge, skills and competency in core HR functions under a relaxed, friendly and interactive learning atmosphere.
The APCP is in 3 modules and will run for two days each month over a period of three months.
Due to the intensive nature of this programme, attendance is compulsory at all the sessions.
There will be evaluation of participants at the end of the three modules of the programme.
For evaluation, participants will submit term papers to the National Secretariat.
The term paper should be written along the following lines:
1. Participant's current functions
2. Learning points from the APCP
3. Application of new learning to one HR core function
Target Audiences:
Graduate/Affiliate members of the institute, who have spent at least two years practicing Human Resource Management.
Such should have handled the responsibilities of staff record keeping, provided support at recruitment exercises and staff welfare functions.
