There
are two diets of the examination annually. The
first is in the month of February,
while the second one comes up in the month of
August. The dates, venue and
examination timetables are always published
in the national newspapers to enable students
to register. Late registration always attracts
a penalty and registration ceases after the
last date published in the newspapers.
Preparation
for the Examination
Candidates are to prepare for examinations by
attending lectures at the Institute’s accredited
Centers. In addition to the lectures, students
will find as provided in the syllabus recommended
texts for each subject. The texts are by no
means exhaustive.
References
in examination
Students
are expected to pass all subjects written at
each level of the examination before they move
to the next stage. Where a student fails in
one of the subjects, he is deemed to have a
reference in that subject, which he must pass
before he is eligible to move to the next level.
Should a student fail a reference, he is deemed
to have failed the whole Part, and will write
all the subjects again.
Examination
malpractices
The
Institute observes a strict code of professional
ethics. For this reason, students who are caught
in examination malpractices are always punished
after due process of investigation has been
followed with expulsion and removal of their
names from the roll.
