Objectives
of MCPE
The
Mandatory Continuing Professional Education
programme started in 2001 on a pilot scheme.
Since then, many editions have been held.
As
the professional body dedicated to best practice
in people management and development, our members
and the public would expect that the programmes
we deliver are of the highest quality in terms
of delivery and content. And since the MCPE
started, the Institute has improved upon it
continuously, thus giving value to all HR Practitioners.
Members
of the institute are expected to participate
as soon as they are admitted. For each programme
attended, the participant earns five credit
points; these become useful for a member at
the time of upgrading.
A
member is required to have a maximum of 20 credit
points in a four to six year period when he
is on a membership grade. That means the member
should attend at least one edition of the MCPE
in one year.
INFORMATION
ON IN-PLANT OR GROUP MCPEs
The
National Secretariat is poised to serve the
interests of members across the length and breadth
of our country.
Participation
on the MCPE is open to individuals, companies/branches
who should inform the Secretariat about their
programme(s) of choice ahead of the date of
commencement.
In
addition to the foregoing, groups of employees,
persons or state branches can request that a
theme be delivered at a venue of their choice,
providing the total number is not less than
20 persons where the Secretariat does not have
to pay for the venue. Where the Secretariat
has to take care of all expenses, a minimum
number of 25 – 30 persons would be expected.
Organizations,
groups and branches can choose from the main
themes and also from among the other themes
for 2006.
The
fee is N30,000.00 per participant, or whatever
fee is charged at the time
