Mr. Sunday ADEYEMI was born on the 24th March 1957 at Ifaki Ekiti, Ondo State.

He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology in 1979 and Masters of Science Degree in Industrial Sociology in 1982, both of the University of Ibadan.

Mr. Adeyemi started his professional career with the Administration Department of the Nigerian Television Authority, Channel 10, Victoria Island, in 1979 as Youth Corp Service Member. He was retained after his service year as a Management Trainee (Personnel) till 1981. In 1986, he became a Senior Admin. Officer (Personnel), a position he held until 1991 when he joined The Republic Press as an Administrative Manager. He left the Press in 1992 to join Nestle Foods (Nigeria) Plc. as the Labour & Staff Manager. In 1994, he left Nestle to become the Human Resources Manager of Carnaud MetalBox Nigeria Plc., Ogba, Ikeja. Mr. Adeyemi moved to Nigeria LNG Limited, Bonny Island as the Head, Personnel in 1998. He was pivotal to Industrial Relations Systems, which consists of grievance and conflict resolution procedure that creates conducive IR Climate, ensures continuous operations company wide and assures consistent customer satisfaction. Mr. Adeyemi has also in the recent past made significant contributions to the development and delivery of comprehensive professional HR services to several client groups in the organization. He left Nigeria LNG Limited as the Head, Employee Relations.

Mr. Adeyemi moved to Nigerian Bottling Company in 2005 as HR Director; where he oversees the strategic HR needs and development of Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC).

In addition to being an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, he has enjoyed global learning opportunities.

Mr. Adeyemi enrolled as an Affiliate Member of the Institute in 1989, was upgraded an Associate member in1992 and became a Full Member in 1998. He was in 2005, admitted a Fellow of the Institute.

Mr. Adeyemi is very active in the activities of the Institute at both the Branch and P.P.C.A. levels. He has attended all AGMs and Annual Conferences of the Institute from 1991 to date, served on Strategic Planning Implementation Committee from 2002 to date and a proxy member of the 2005 Conference Planning Committee. He was elected National Treasurer at the 37th Annual General Meeting of the Institute, held 7th April, 2006.
